SULLIVAN
Mrs. Doris L. Sullivan,
82 of 613 W. Boone St. in Marshalltown died Wednesday evening, December
22, 2004 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were
held at the Estel Perrin Funeral Home in Marshalltown on Monday, December
27. The cremains were interred at Riverside Cemetery.
She was born in Marshalltown on October 21, 1922, the daughter of Clint
and Lucille M.Noid Brace. Reared and educated in Union, Iowa she graduated
from the Union High School in 1940 and then attended the Marshalltown Jr.
College for two years. On January 15, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN, she was united
in marriage to Edward L. Sullivan. Following their marriage they lived in
various Iowa communities where Ed was a teacher and Pastor. These communities
include Grant, Keokuk, Rippey, Clinton and Hudson. After his retirement
they moved back to Marshalltown. He preceded her in death on January 10
of this year. Doris was a member of the United Methodist Church and the
D.A.R.
She is survived by her three children, Bill and wife Ann Sullivan of Coralville;
Mike and wife Pat Sullivan of Knoxville, and Jane Sullivan of Des Moines.
In addition there are two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren surviving.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.
