Harold (Sonny) McElheney

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry for Harold "Sonny" McElheney, 83, of Rippey.
A Masonic service was held on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Harold "Sonny" McElheney died June 2, 2006 at Perry Health Care Center in Perry. He was born September 16, 1922, at Madrid to Harold and Helen (Wyckoff) McElheney. He graduated from Rippey High School in 1940.
For year he worked as a farmer and helped his father in the McElheney coal mines, held several other part-time jobs, began raising purebred Angus cattle with his father and continued on his own. He met Donna Murrell and they were married April 30, 1945.
Harold was a member of the Rippey United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Donna, three daughters, Judy McElheney of Eagan, MN., Jan Hadley of Farmington, UT.; and Jerrie Bailey of Independence, MO.; one son, Harold "Mac" of Rippey, one brother, Charles "Jack" McElheney and his wife Jean, of Rippey; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
