Robert Ford

Bob Ford passed away peacefully in Palo Alto, California, at the Veteran's Hospital on May 8, 2004. Bob was born on January 1, 1930 in Des Moines, IA. He was a resident of San Jose for 57 years before moving to Los Banos, CA. in 1998.
Bob worked for Roadway Trucking in San Jose as a truck driver until he retired in 1991. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 287. Bob was a veteran of the Korean War. He belonged to the American Legion Post 781.
Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly Jean Ford. He is survived by four children: Rebecca Jean McMurray of Grant's Pass, Oregon; Jennifer Lynn Busby and son in law, Stan; Michael Vaun Ford and Glenn Robert Ford all from Los Banos. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Bob also leaves two sisters, Dorothy Ashmore and Doris Wood and a brother, Verl Ford.
A memorial service was held at the Chapel of the Roses on May 22, 2004 in San Jose. A graveside and interment followed the service.
