
Edith Marie Anschutz
91, of Rippey died Friday, August 27, 2004, at the Rowley Memorial Masonic
Home in Perry. Services were held at 10:30 am Tuesday, August 31 at Rippey
United Methodist Church with interment in the Rippey Cemetery.
Memorials may be left at the Hastings Funeral Home in Perry.
Daughter of John Pentico and Mabel E. Olson Pentico, Edith was born August
18, 1913 in Lamar, MO. She grew up in Cooper before the family moved to
Grand Junction and then to Beaver. Edith graduated from Beaver High School
in 1931.
On December 15, 1935, Edith was united in marriage to Donald Anschutz at
the Baptist Church south of Ogden. They lived in the rural Rippey area before
moving to Rippey in 1948. Edith worked for the telephone company for many
years as a secretary and operator.
Edith was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge and a past Worthy Patron
of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Audrey Hutchins; and
two grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; a daughter, Shirley Glenn of Perry;
a son, Gary of Jefferson; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and
two great-great grandchildren.
