Church notes
Sunday, March 30:  "Fifth Sunday" service at the Rippey UMC, 7 pm.   Churches in Greene County taking part.
Wednesday, April 2: Choir practice, 6 pm, Administrative Board meeting, 7 pm, Ladies Aid invited to Guest Day at Grand Junction UMC at 9:30 am
Thursday, April 3: Ladies Aid, 2pm.  Lesson leader, Phyllis Bardole, Hostess, Jean Borgeson. 
Thursday, April 3: Ladies Aid preparing meal for Father/Son Banquet.
Friday, April 4: Greene County Historical Meeting at Cooper.
 
The KYNB Club met March 14th at the Rippey Library with seven member present to enjoy the afternoon. 
 
Darwin and Lila Johnston went to Carroll on Saturday where they visited Lila's sister, Lillian Knight at the Care Center.   They were joined by Lillian's husband, Warren.
 
The Greene County Historical Society will have their first meeting of 2008 at the Cooper United Methodist Church.   Reservations should be made to the community contacts by Tuesday, April 1.  Dot Lawton and Chuck Offenburger will have the program with history and stories of girls' basketball in the state of Iowa. 
 
The Rippey Lions Club is sponsoring a Father/Son Banquet at 7 pm on April 3 in Fellowship Hall of the Rippey UMC.  Tickets are still available for this event.  
 
Palm Sunday dinner guests in the home of  Velda DeMoss included Lori and Shawn DeMoss, Kyle and Bryce of Rippey, Marc, Zach, and Michael DeMoss of Rockwell City, Beth, Karli, and Zelda DeMoss and Doug Matthews all of Jefferson.   Regrets were sent by several family members. 
 
Each Tuesday a quilting group meets at the Rippey UMC.   They invited everyone in the community to stop by for a "Coffee Break" at 10 am.
