November 8, 2011 City Election Results
10% of Rippey's vote in the city election, held November 8, 2011.
Mayor Dan Brubaker was re-elected with 17 votes in the recent city elections. There were three council seats open and three names on the ballot. Incumbent Ned Johnston received 17 votes and incumbent Richard Liebich received 15 votes. Jon Allen received 17 votes, replacing Heidie Chapman, who chose not to run this year. The 17 ballots cast was a 10 percent voter turnout.

Washington Township Trustees:

The Washington Township Trustees fund the Rippey Fire Department. The City of Rippey provides the building and the upkeep of the building. The township buys the trucks, pays for equipment, upkeep and repairs, and insurance on the trucks.
The trustees are elected by the voters of Washington Township.

The Washington Township Trustees are also responsible for the upkeep of the three cemeteries, Rippey, Old Rippey, and Bowers/Angus.

The trustees levy separate taxes for the cemetery and fire department. They
are elected by the township voters.
